I'm Tired

I am officially TIRED. Taking care of Max and Eli is exhausting!! :-) I swear, these boys are conspiring against me to keep me awake all hours of the day. When Eli is asleep during the day, Max is awake. When Max goes down for a nap, Eli decides it is time to be awake and hungry. And Eli can eat - I weighed him on Tuesday and he is already over 9 pounds. Ah well, I guess this is what we get for having two little ones so close in age. It's tough right now, but it should be great when they get older (at least that is what I am telling myself so that I don't completely lose my mind!!). :-)
The day before yesterday (Tuesday), I had my friends Karen and Sarah over with their kids. It is great to spend time with them and for the kids to have time to play with one another. It is nuts that between us we have SIX kids! Yikes. Below are some pictures of our playdate. I love the pictures of all six of them lined up on the couch. Pretty funny!

Max, Kyler and Seamus playing in the backyard. We have a house being built behind us, but the kids don't seem to mind.

My two little ones. :-)

Eli and Fiona. Fiona was born 5 days after Eli.

Our Mellow Memorial Day Weekend

We had a really nice Memorial Day weekend. It was super mellow. We mainly spent time taking the kids on walks, playing in the backyard and going to the park. This morning we went to the park and there was a nice Memorial Day celebration with a band. Max thought that was great. This weekend we also bought Max a new pair of converse shoes - they are super cool. Below are a few pictures of the boys!

Max being gentle with Eli - what a great big brother!!

Visits with Friends

This weekend our friends Nicole and Mike came over for dinner. It was so great to see them! I have posted a few photos from their visit. Also below are some photos of Jack, Max and Eli all together at our little American Idol finale dinner. Ellen and Bob came over to watch the American Idol finale last week. :-) Ellen and I are such dorks and were completely obsessed with American Idol this season. I am so sad that I won't have her to watch it with next season, since she is moving. :-(

More pictures. . .

Here are a few photos of us and the boys.

Finally a New Post!

I've been bad about posting this week. Sorry! It's been a busy week. Leah (Max's nanny) is taking a month off of work, so I have both kids for the month. It is a challenge with a newborn and a toddler, but we are doing okay! Max is doing well with Eli, and loves to give him kisses, although he doesn't really understand the concept of "gentle." Below are some pictures of Max and Eli together. Max did really well until the end when he bit Eli on the head!

The Many Faces of Eli

Here are some pictures of Eli. He is such a sweet baby. I can't believe how much he has grown in just the last two weeks. It makes sense though, because he is an eating machine! He eats so much that he constantly overeats and then spits up. Today he ate and ate and ate and then had a Linda Blair Exorcist type of vomit all over me. It was lovely. I had to change my outfit afterwards because I was so soaked. Good thing I am madly in love with this kid! :-)

Max's Grossest Habit

My sister left a comment on the blog that made me laugh. She commented that Max looks like he likes to eat dirt since I keep posting pictures of him with sand or dirt on his face. Amber, you have no idea! Max is such a boy. He loves sticking sand and dirt in his mouth, but the GROSSEST thing he likes to do (which drives me nuts) is trying to lap up water from puddles on the ground like he is a dog. I swear, it's like we don't keep him hydrated or something! If there is a puddle of water on the ground he runs to it and tries to drink from it. Everytime. I have no pictures of this, because I am generally grabbing him to stop him from ingesting disgusting water, so I have just posted pictures of Max and Rob playing in the backyard. It has been super hot out here the last week (almost 100 on a few days).

Also, thanks for the great comments. It is super fun to hear from our friends who are checking out our blog. It's also been great to hear from old friends from Havasu.

Our Day at Habitot

On Thursday, Leah and I took the kids to Habitot. Max had a terrific time. He particularly loves the spaceship . . . it has tons of buttons, knobs, phones and other things to press that make noise. Max's favorite kind of toy! He also loves the cash register machine and art area. Below are some pictures from our day at Habitot.

Some Visits From Friends

This past week Eli has had some visits from a few of our good friends. Below are pics of the kids with Ellen and Bob, Moira and Daniel, and Heather. And congrats to Moira and Daniel on their recent engagement!!! I am so excited for them.

Moira and Daniel with Eli. They were so sweet and brought us dinner last Friday.

Ellen and Bob with Eli. Ellen just returned back to work after a six month maternity leave with her little guy, Jack. Good luck Ellen!!

Heather and Eli. Heather dropped by for a visit last weekend and brought Max and Eli an adorable present. It's a little playhouse with little finger puppets of the Three Little Pigs. Max thought it was great and loved playing with Heather.

More Pictures From Our Day at Tilden Park

Here are a few more pictures from our day at the Little Farm. . .

Our Day at the Little Farm

Yesterday Leah and I took the kids to the Little Farm at Tilden Park. Max had a great time checking out the animals and feeding them celery. After spending some time feeding the animals, we went to the playground and let the kids run around a bit. Yesterday I also bought this neat Maya Wrap to carry Eli around in. It works great and allows me to chase after and hold Max more easily. Below are some pics from our day at Tilden Park!
