Our Day at the Beach

As promised, below are some pictures from last week at Tomales Bay. The Marin area is so gorgeous - we need to try to get out there more often. It is so close, but if feels like we are a million miles away from home. I love it!

This is our little beach tent. We bought this last year when we went to Hawaii when Max was 3 months old. It works great, but there were some wind gusts so we had to load the tent with sand to keep it from blowing away! Max is sitting in Eli's car seat because we were trying so hard to get him to nap in the tent - we finally just strapped him down. It didn't work though and Max ended up having no nap and being a complete terror later as we were trying to drive home. The kid needs his nap!!

Max had a great time playing with everyone else's toys. We don't even take toys to the beach anymore because he is only interested in other people's stuff. :-) The people that owned these toys also had an ice chest full of ice that Max was obsessed with. He must have gone over there and eaten ice from their chest about 30 times that day. Rob and I kept trying to get him to stop, but he wasn't listening. Thankfully the family with the ice chest thought it was cute and told him to eat as much ice as he wanted! :-) Max ended up eating some of their watermellon too.

The boys going swimming.

Max is getting so good at throwing and kicking balls. I think we are going to sign him up for a 2 year old soccer class that starts later this month. He's a bit young for it still, but I think he could do it. Or at least he would have fun trying!

This is a new friend Max made when he went over to play with the kids toys (whose name happened to be Max as well). Max just HAD to jump in this wagon.

After hanging out at the beach for a while we took a nice hike on the one of the trails that started right off the cove. Max loves to hike and look at all the trees.

Eli likes to hike too! Here is my smiley little man.

Max and I at the end of our hike. The trail went from one beach to another, more secluded beach with a little marsh behind it.

The boys. . .
