Heading to the Hospital!
Just called Labor and Deliver and they told me to come on it! So Rob and I are getting ready to go. Hopefully the next post will have pictures of Eli in in! Wish me luck!
Max, Jack and Oliver!
I had to post a few photos of Max and his friends Oliver and Jack. The three of them are too cute in their matching outfits. Oliver is the son of our good friends, Nigel and Libbey (who I wish lived closer than they do!!), and Jack, of course, belongs to our dear friends Ellen and Bob (see the link to their blog on this site!).
Yesterday's Playdate
Yesterday Max had some friends over for a playdate. His friends Taylor, Kyler, Seamus and Kaden came over and had a great time playing in the back yard. It was nice to be able to spend time with Sarah, Karen and Leah. I think we are going to try to make Tuesday playdates a regular thing. Karen is also expecting her second child - although she doesn't know if she is having a boy or girl yet. She has WAY more willpower than Rob and I!! Below is a picture of all the kids, and a few other random photos of my cute boy.
The Big Day??
Today or tomorrow is the big day! I am supposed to go in to be induced sometime today, so Eli will hopefully be born today or tomorrow. I had to call this morning at 7 a.m. to see when they wanted me to come to the Labor and Delivery ward. They told me to call back at 9 a.m., so now we are just waiting around. Of course, last night I had a hard time sleeping because of nerves and excitement and last night Max had a terrible night of sleep too. He has been such a great sleeper lately - sleeping 12 hours without waking up, generally - and last night he was up every few hours crying unless I was holding him. I think he may know that something is going on. . . . or else he is just trying to be helpful by reminding me what its going to be like to get up and feed Eli every few hours once he arrives! :-)
Anyway, I thought I would use this opportunity to post some photos of Max that I have not been able to post for the last few days due to computer problems. I am using Rob's laptop now and just downloaded a bunch of photos from the last week.

Darn Computer Problems
Sorry for no new posts in the last few days. . . . this laptop that I have is giving me big problems. I think it is time for a new one. So, this is going to be a short post with no photos because this computers battery is about to die and it won't keep a charge. Ugh!!!
Other than computer problems, my big news is that we are scheduled to go in and have this baby on Wednesday! Crazy!! We have scheduled the induction because of my blood pressure and because I had such a fast labor with Max (and we don't want to have a baby in the car if I go into labor naturally). Hopefully I can figure out the computer situation before Wednesday so I can post photos of Eli when he gets here! Send us good thoughts on Wednesday for a fast, safe and painless labor. :-)

My Two Handsome Guys
Just wanted to post a few pictures of Max and Rob. Max loves the big boy chair we bought him for the living room and climbs into it all the time. It is pretty cute! Max has no choice but to be an extreme athlete someday. Rob has already bought Max a helmet and skateboard, and he is chomping at the bit to get him on a snowboard. I have to keep reminding Rob that Max JUST turned one!! :-)
Fun Times With Friends
Today my friends Sarah R. and Leah came over with their children for a playdate. Sarah has a two-year old daughter, Kyler, and a three-month old son, Kaden. Leah has a two-year old daughter named Taylor. The kids all had a great time playing in the backyard on the slide and in the playhouse and I had a lot of fun spending time with Sarah and Leah. Max got a bit jealous when I was holding Kaden . . . he ran up and insisted that I pick him up too. When I tried to hand him over to Leah he got a bit upset. This may be a glimpse of things to come! Poor Max doesn't know what is about to hit him!!

Crazy Day!
It's been a bit of a crazy day today! For a few hours, Rob and I thought today might be Eli's birthday!!
I went in today for a non-stress test to make sure Eli was doing okay because he had not been moving as much the last few days. He is doing great, and started moving like a champ as soon as we got to the hospital (of course). However, as we were leaving, I ended up with horrible back and abdominal pain which made me go straight to the Labor and Delivery ward. Turns out I was having a mild gall bladder attack and it caused me to have contractions about every 6 minutes or so. It really hurt for about two hours, but finally let up and now I am back home. I am really happy to be home, too. I would really like another week to rest before Eli gets here - I know once he arrives life will be nuts for a while! And, I have a prenatal massage scheduled for Wednesday. . . :-)
Below are a few photos of Max, Eli (in the belly) and I that we took at JC Penney. Enjoy!

Another Fun Day at the Park
Below are a few pictures of Max at the park today. He is such a fun kid. It amazes me how quickly he is growing up and how much he understands. Today I asked him to go get me his sippy cup and snack holder and he walked over, picked them up and brought them back to me! I think we need to watch what we say in front of him because he understands way more than we think!

At the Park
This is my third post today! But I took so many cute photos of Max today that I just can't help myself. ;-) These are pictures of Max at the park. He had a great time chasing and watching the geese. At one point he started making geese sounds. It was pretty cute! He also loved trying to climb the rock climbing wall with daddy.
On the Slide
Today was a really fun day. Rob and I played with Max in the backyard for a long time and then Rob took Max on a long hike/jog in the Bob stroller. We really love our new house and especially love the back yard. We have a playhouse and a slide back there for Max, and he LOVES them. Today he climbed the stairs to the slide all by himself and went down the slide alone. He has quickly turned into a big boy! It is so fun to watch.
Max Loves Crackers!
Max is obsessed with oyster crackers. :-) They are his favorite snack. In fact, one of his first words (after Dada, Mama and Hi) was "cracker." I don't feel so terrible about letting him have crackers because he eats so well otherwise, but he sure gobbles them up! Today he walked around with his little snack holder permanently attached to his hand (see pic below!).

My Intro to Blogging
Well, I decided (in my insomniatic state) to start a blog to share photos of the little ones as well as some of the cute things they are doing.
Max is growing so fast. Already 14 months old!! His little brother, Eli, is almost here. I am 37 weeks pregnant today - hence, my insomnia. I have been up and totally awake since 3:30 this morning. No fun. Thankfully, Max is doing a pretty good job of sleeping through the night for the most part.
Yesterday Max had his Kindergym class. I am on a light bedrest, but can be up and about for the most part as long as I take it easy, so I have been going to Max's Kindergym class with him and his wonderful nanny, Leah, and Leah's daughter, Taylor. Max is such a little ham - at the end of the class we sit in a circle and sing songs. Max LOVES to dance, so he jumped into the middle of the circle and danced for all of the songs. It was pretty cute! :-) I wish I had video of it - I will try to capture some next time.
I'm posting a few recent photos of my little guy below from a recent trip to the marina. Max in his lifejacket is pretty cute!
